| June 2001 Meeting
Extended Systems, Inc., Corey Wood will be presenting at the Vancouver Delphi Developers Association meeting on June 4, 2001. The presentation will focus on XTNDConnect RPM, a wireless/wired programmable middleware solution that allows developers to build business rules/server processes in Delphi and C++Builder, and execute those processes from Palm OS, Pocket PC, and thin Windows applications. In addition, there will be discussion of Advantage Database Server's new 6.0 features. XTNDConnect RPM (Remote Procedure Middleware) is an embedded server that makes mobile and Windows thin-client application development easy. As a robust, easy-to-use middle-tier server for Palm OS, Windows and Windows CE applications. XTNDConnect RPM is the first middleware to provide real-time access to enterprise server processes for mobile devices and Windows clients. Being process centric, XTNDConnect RPM is not limited to just database functionality. Any process that can be accomplished programmatically at the server can be controlled by the client application, such as report building, faxing and printing. By leveraging developers' existing code, XTNDConnect RPM can easily implement business logic at the server level. With the straightforward concept of remote procedures, it provides a robust way to execute server-based processes and receive results remotely. With real-time access, critical business decisions may be made in the field and immediate updates may be made to your enterprise data. As a result, XTNDConnnect RPM minimizes the limitations associated with mobile applications. In addition to increased productivity and better access to data, XTNDConnect RPM allows large enterprise databases to be accessed and processed by a mobile device, therefore allowing the mobile worker to fully exploit the application anywhere, anytime.
