As per our discussion in last month's meeting,
the topic for our May meeting will be Borland latest Java development
tool, JBuilder Client Server. The focus of this presentation is to give
a brief but comprehensive overview of the capabilities of JBuilder Client/Server
1.0., Borland's powerful visual RAD builder tool for Java. Now available
in Standard, Professional and Client/Server versions, since is release
last year, JBuilder has out sold all other Java builder tools.
The presentation will be delivered by Mr.
David Clarke. David is a Instructor/Consultant with InfoCan Management
and a Borland certified JBuilder instructor. He has also recently returned
from Borland Canada, where he attended a course on the soon to be released
JBuilder 2.0. The presentation will consist of the following topics:
- Overview of the components and features
which make up the JBuilder IDE
- Build a database application
- How Borland DataGateway for Java provides multi-tier database connectivity
- Create a JavaBean using JavaBeans Express
- Create and deploy an applet
- What is coming in JBuilder 2.0
