April 1998 Meeting

As per your request, Michael Li will be giving a short presentation on MIDAS, Multi-tiered Distributed Application Services. The goal of this presentation is to give an overview of the various building blocks needed in order to create a distributed application. The topics will include:

- Simple Data Access Server
- Business Logic Server
- Data Request with Remote client Control
- Single Tier (briefcase model) deployment
- Deployment issues

Dave Hamdon of InfoCan Management will also be on-hand to answer questions as he is currently working on a MIDAS project specifically with the AS400.
