.NET represents a major advance in the way applications are designed
on Windows. This change amounts to much more than just some language
syntax changes and a few new Wizards. The courseware material
is divided in to 3 modules:
Module 1 will briefly surveys the breadth of this monumental
shift and then builds a foundation on which you can add the rest
of your knowledge of .NET technologies like ASP.NET, and Web Services.
Learn the essential features in order to move on with web programming,
Windows application programming, Web Services, and more sophisticated
programming with .NET.
Module 2 will show how to use CodeGear Delphi 2007 to build ASP.NET
Web pages and XML Web services. You’ll gain an understanding
of the new architecture behind ASP.NET and how to use the new
server controls. You also learn how to use ADO.NET to create data-driven
ASP.NET Web forms.
Module 3 will takes you beyond the basics of creating Web pages
and XML Web Services with ASP.NET, by presenting the techniques
and concepts you will need to build efficient, full-featured Web
applications. You will learn to manage session state, and reuse
code by creating your own controls. This course teaches you how
to improve performance with output caching, debug your applications
and trace its activity, use advanced Web Services features, and
configure and deploy ASP.NET applications. Finally you will learn
to authenticate users and limit their access to resources, handle
multi-user data access conflicts, and support mobile devices.
This course will be taught using CodeGear
Delphi 2007.
