Creating Web Apps - It's easier than
you think!
Web application is everywhere. If you haven't started yet, your customers,
your users or worst yet, your competitors are there. This session is aimed
at those who have been developing Client/Server application within Delphi,
C++Builder or Kylix and are looking to move their applications to the
web.
This session will cover topics such as creating
web server applications (CGI, ISAPI, Apache Share Modules), debugging
techniques and WebBroker technologies. Creating web application is easier
than you think!
Working XML in Delphi
XML is rapidly becoming the industry-preferred choice of data
representation and is the core technology behind distributed computing
initiative like SOAP. As of Delphi 6, Borland is now shipping with a ton
of tools and native XML support. This session is aimed at those who are
new to XML and are looking to incorporate XML technologies into their
development work with Delphi, C++Builder or Kylix. This session will cover
the basics of XML, working with XSL (Extensible Stylesheet Language),
XML Mapper, XML Data Binding wizard, and other tips in incorporating XML
in your development projects.
Securing your Internet Applications
Delphi 7 is all about creating web applications. However, the
number one concern of corporations in deploying a web-based solution remains
to be security. In this session, learn how latest tips to protect your
corporate most valuable assets - data and time. By understanding how a
hacker thinks, you will have a running chance in staying one step ahead
of their game.

Scuba Diving Trip: With Michael Li in Flower Garden Banks
March 20-21, 2003

This is a 2 day, 7dive, live-aboard dive trip
that will take place at the Flower Garden Banks, National Marine
Sanctuary. The Flower Garden Banks is located 100 miles south
of Houston in the middle of Gulf of Mexico and it is one of most
awesome dive site off the shore of United States. March & April
is known for Hammerhead mating season where sighting of schools
of up to 120 are very common.
The cost for the trip is $305/person and includes your bunk on
board, air for 7 dives, and all meals. C-Card is a must and advanced
or better certification is highly recommended. Nitrox is available
for those who are certified at $60 extra. The boat will depart from
Freeport, TX at 10pm on the evening of March 19. All divers must
be at the dock by 9pm for boarding and processing. The boat will
sail through the night to the destination with the first diver in
the water by 7am.
