Past Projects
A partial list of some of our more extensive
projects includes:
Developing maintenance support for an international transport
carrier on their employee travel tracking system. Our role in the project
involved resolving bugs in the existing program, interfacing with the
SABRE system (the primary reservation system used by all major carriers
worldwide), automating the program, and restructuring business objects
to improve efficiency and performance.
Replacing a legacy EDI-based system with a browser-based system
to allow real-time information exchange between an internationally recognized
motorcycle distributor and their 200 retailers. Our experts used technologies
such as Delphi, Delphi/400, MIDAS, and InterBase. This project was the
first of its kind to use Delphi as a bridge between the Internet and the
AS/400, and was nominated for the Customer Application of the Year and
Partner Solution of the Year at the 1999 Borland Developers Conference.
Borland also completed a full case study on this project in order to showcase
the success story on their website.
Implementing a GUI front-end for a global policy submission tracking
system to be used by the agents of a major insurance company.
Technologies utilized included AS/400, COM, Delphi, and SQL query design.
A joint venture in developing a custom vertical market software,
specializing in Sales Effectiveness Management. The software mirrored
a paper-based sales methodology and used technologies such as Client/Server
database support (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, InterBase), offline briefcase
data modeling with full synchronization via the Internet, and cross-platform
deployment with Windows, HTML/web-based and Palm clients.
The design and analysis of an infrastructure aimed at integrating
components and existing applications based on three-tier Client/Server
architectures, rather than the traditional two-tier. The project
aimed to provide a better infrastructure in taking over some of the key
operations from the existing mainframe, while delivering the necessary
information to a wider audience base via the Internet. InfoCan Management
was brought to this project due to our expertise and knowledge in web-enablement
and multi-tier, distributed computing technologies.
Custom software design of a 32-bit multi-tier payroll service
bureau application, using MIDAS and Delphi technology. The application's
functionality included tracking payments and producing various reports
for both the company and the government.
A strategic web application for a major military aircraft
maintenance supplier, entailing the conversion of an existing LAN application
to ActiveX-based data aware web pages. While providing full security,
the content pages were made available to staff via an intranet as well
as to external customers via the Internet.
