InfoCan Management Consultants Group (Canada) Inc. received the Partner Solution of the Year Award in July 2000 in front of over 2,200 attendees at the Opening Keynote Address, for the 11th Annual Borland Conference, in San Diego. This award was earned due to InfoCan Management’s development of the emPower software program, in recognition of “completeness of application”, as part of the judging criteria for Inprise/Borland®.

Power Marketing provides a total sales effectiveness solution, integrating skills, process, tools and management. Recent surveys report that over 70% of sales automation projects fail to meet client's expectations because of the lack of support from the sales team in the process. The "emPower Sales Management System" software is administratively light and helps sales people effectively plan, strategize, report and succeed. The system also provides management with an on-line tool to manage business goals, activities and revenues. emPower, the software version of Power Marketing’s sales management methodology includes; The Opportunity Pipeline, Opportunity Management, The Personal Sales Plan, Account Management, Sales Tool Library and On-Line Sales Management. The software also integrates with Microsoft Outlook and other popular contact management packages.

InfoCan Management designed and developed the software using Borland's Delphi 5™ and Interbase™. InfoCan Management's team also utilized the Borland MIDAS Technology to facilitate roundtrip briefcase synchronization, maximize business rule reuse, use multi-tier distributed architecture and provide web-enablement. "It was clear that the software must be designed with an open architecture in mind ranging from vendor neutral database support to leveraging the Internet.
